How can I be sure that Elevate gives the correct answers?
Elevate is written by Dr. Richard Peters, one of the worlds' leading experts in Elevator Traffic Analysis. Elevator Traffic Analysis software written by Dr. Peters has been in use and applied internationally since 1989. Elevate has been tested extensively by Peters Research Ltd. Furthermore, many of Elevate's users have tested the software against their old programs. If you compare Elevate's results with those from another reliable calculation program or method, you should get consistent results. If you want to do some of your own tests before purchasing the software, the manual includes examples, which you can run on your existing software.
Who else uses Elevate?
Elevate is the international standard for Elevator Traffic Analysis. It is used by consultants, elevator companies and academics worldwide. Countries where Elevate is used include: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Botswana, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA, Venezuela, Vietnam.
What user support is provided?
The price of Elevate includes one year's unlimited support by telephone, fax and e-mail. You can renew this if you want to, please refer to the price list for more details.
Can Elevate be used to analyze...?
Almost definitely yes. Elevate can be used to analyze any passenger traffic flow for any practical configuration of elevators - there is very little that cannot be analyzed with Elevate. A full description of the program is included in the manual which you can download. If you are unsure as to whether Elevate will be able to analyze a specific scenario, please contact us.
Will you run a example on the program using my data?
Examples are included in the manual which you can download. This provides a comprehensive set of inputs and outputs which can be used to test the program and to evaluate the software. To run a specific example, please contact us. A fee is charged for this service, which will be refunded if you subsequently purchase Elevate. We regret the need to charge a fee, which has been introduced to deter people using the service to check their design rather than to evaluate the software.
The Elevate Developer Interface provides a way of building your own dispatcher control systems into Elevate. Rather than spending years developing a new simulation package to test and develop your control systems, why not use ours?
The Developer Interface requires you to code your control system into a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) using Microsoft Visual C++. A sample project including a basic group control system is provided to get you started (you must own a copy of Microsoft Visual C++).
When you compile the new DLL, it is placed in the directory where Elevate is installed. Then within Elevate, select the dispatcher from the Custom options in Analysis Data. All of Elevate’s simulation and analysis options are then available to use with your dispatcher.
If you have purchased Elevate and require the Developer Interface project, please contact us.
Please note that assistance with the Developer Interface is not included in the Elevate Maintenance and Support package. Support for the Developer Interface is provided on a consultancy basis. For details of the services on offer, please contact us.
